10 Months

Thanksgiving 2014

Thanksgiving 2014 tried to be eventful but ended up being just as planned and wonderful.  We started out the week with a 9 month check up and Joel's second flu shot.  As a result, he ended up running a fever that Tuesday - the day we were supposed to leave for Georgia.  I found out when I picked him up early from daycare that there was a case of flu in his class that had just been called in.  We went straight to Andrew's office for a flu test and, even though it was negative, we started on the very expensive Tamiflu.  Nothing slows us down - we loaded up and headed to Georgia.

We spent the first day and a half in Madison.  We had the annual cooking day on Wednesday.  I talked Grandmomma into showing me how she makes her coconut cake.  I think I am finally starting to figure it out.  Thursday was lunch with Granddaddy's family as usual.  Then off to Macon for dinner with the Ouzts side of the Ouzts family.  We had our brunch on Friday morning, then relaxed the rest of the day.  We headed back home on Saturday so we could enjoy some down time at home as well.  

Tech fans - we drove home during the game.  Andrew refused to listen to it on the road.  So I would check the score every 30 minutes or so.  The end of the game was hilarious.  I would put the phone down and say, well we lost.  Then I would get 50 texts - we were back in it.  Then I gave up on us again - and same thing - phone blows up - we won!  What fans we are, huh?

Nine Months

I owe a Thanksgiving post but I am running out of "nap" time, ha.

First Halloween

Halloween 2014 was one for the record books.

Joel and I were recovering from Hand, Foot, and Mouth.  It was freezing outside with a serious wind.  Andrew needed to take a deer stand up to the lease that evening so he wasn't going to be around to help hand out candy.  We had already decided that taking an 8 month old trick or treating was like adults begging for candy, so we knew that wasn't going to be in our plan - but we did think we would be handing out candy.  Given everything going on, we turned off the lights, took a few pieces of candy with us, loaded up both boys and took a trip to the deer lease.  Honestly - it was one of the best decisions we have made in a very, very long time.  However, I did take some pictures before we left.

Eight Months

Sorry - my post are out of order now - so insert the one on hand, foot, and mouth and our trip to Georgia if you really want to know what happened in our lives, ha.

Learning to Crawl (Before Hair Cuts)
