A New Bed
We told Tucker we had ordered him a new bed. The day the bed arrived we got two boxes, one from soap.com and one from ll bean with the bed, so he sniffed out both and determined that the ll bean box was the one with his bed. This is what happened...
sniff, sniff - yep this is the right box.
double checking - yep this is it...
Now let me chew my way in this box!!
We put it together on our bed and before we could move it to the floor he was climbing up the bed (which he has never done before)
Thanks for my new bed, Mom and Dad, but I can't make eye contact because I know I am on your bed, but that is where you left my bed. So please don't get mad at me, but I am on my bed, too.

Sam, Wipe Your Mouth.
Andrew and I had the treat of keeping the Henson kiddos Friday night. After dinner, I asked Sam to wipe his mouth...
Obviously, I was not overly clear with my instructions. Sam, wipe your face around your mouth - not your actual mouth!!

Turn Around, Don't Drown
I love that the National Weather Service is now issuing warnings with awesome closing reminders...like...Turn Around, Don't Drown.
Oh and is anyone having their phone sound like a tornado siren when a warning is issued these days??? This is the second time my phone has started going off like a tornado siren when a warning (this time flash flood warning) was been issued. Not sure where it is coming from, but it, no doubt, gets my attention.

Super Hero and Class Reunion
Super Hero known as Mom made it up because the standard outfit was MIA. Good use of some panty hose - and please be sure to notice the shirt...I think he would fit right in.
The portion of my high school class that showed up for the reunion...there are about 3 people in this picture that did not start Pre-K with us.

Life...It Happens
We have been a little busy lately. Nothing special really going on, just normal stuff, but still busy. You know...cooking club, golf, work, work trips, friends visiting...normal stuff that you wouldn't trade for anything.
Kim, Cory and Allie were in town on Friday, so we picked up pizza and I made some peach ice cream. Dave and Angela and their two came over as well. We had a blast catching up and visiting and watching sweet Allie sleep. After dinner, I took James outside to play with Tucker. Not really sure how, but some how, he and I ended up killing spiders on the house and stomping in the mud that we created while playing in the spigot. Well...if you know me, you know what happened...
Yes, that is mud on his face. Yes he got a little dirty. Yes I encouraged it. After his mom and sister cleaned him up and change his clothes - he climbed in the chair with Andrew. They were just a chatting it up about all sorts of things...dogs, deer, ducks, colors...a little of everything.
Mom and Dad have been in Colorado for a work conference for Mom. They went to a ranch and participated in a cattle round-up. The report from Dad was that Mom had the time of her life and he would even go back for another ride. Bottom line - they are having a blast.
Grandmomma and Granddaddy visited MB, Hugh, and John a few weeks ago and these pictures just melt my heart. Aside from the fact that John looks like a little man, he loves, loves, loves his Memomma and Papa John.
Then of course he gives you crazy eyes and it is all over. However, if I saw that dude beside me, I would be making crazy eyes too! Actually he was just thought it was so cool to be riding his bike inside the van - while on a car ferry.
Guilty...I was cleaning the house and folding clothes last week when Tucker thought I wasn't paying him enough attention. To attract my attention, he started getting in trouble (sounds about right for a kid, right?). I found him with his loot and this face. Yep, guilty.
I went to Myrtle Beach for a work conference over the weekend and part of this week. I made the most of it - or at least attempted to - and spent an hour on the beach. I didn't have sunscreen and the only parking as coin-fed metered parking and I didn't have enough change for more than an hour, ha! It was at least nice to say I was there.
Um, yeah, I thought steeping was something you did to tea...not an action when walking. Thanks for the info, Hampton Inn. Oh and the floor outside the elevator...it was tile...yeah...still not sure.
Conference gift...gotta love one that is really useful. I have been wanting a lid for our tervis tumblers...and who doesn't like a free tervis tumbler??
Dear Kroger, Thank you for taking notice that I love cookie dough and ice cream and that I haven't bought any in a while. Your marketing efforts seem to be working as I am now craving both.
Left over peach ice cream became dinner tonight...yummy. Hush - don't say a word about what I eat.
And finally - while eating my ice cream - Tucker and I watched the first show in the new season of PW. He obviously was very interested. Funny - she was making a chicken dish. He loves chicken.
