- Drove to Ocean Springs on Friday night
- Andrew played golf with Hugh Saturday morning while MB, John, Gmom and Gdad went shopping
- Lunch with the crew minus John and Hugh in the harbor on the water while drinking a "hummingbird"
- Sailed with MB (yes, just the two of us) from OS to Deer Island, then to the Isle, and back...(5 miles or so across the Back Bay and main boating channel)...
- Andrew met us with Tucker to play in the gulf, Tucker loved it and even attempted to swim for the first time - we didn't let him off the lead so he couldn't really do much, but loved it
- Had dinner then watched Andrew, John, and Hugh swim at the "yacht club"
- Got up early Sunday and drove home
- Found out halfway home that once again it was raining in Jackson
- Got home to the rain, cleaned the house, it stopped raining and was dry enough very soon that we were finally able to cut the front yard, but not back...
- Ran to Kroger
- Got the house and my pork basically ready for cooking club tomorrow night
- Now sitting on the sofa, eating cookie dough...
- It was a great weekend and we got everything we needed to do done!!!!!!

Dear Mother Nature...
I seriously need to cut the grass and spray round-up, so if you don't mind, would you give me just one day (oh say today) to get the grass cut before it rains? It can start raining about 8 tonight and other than saying that I couldn't spray roundup you won't hear a peep from me. You know come to think of it, Texas might want some of our rain - do you think you could make it happen for them tonight instead?

Zippity Doo Dah
Okay, random thought of the day - actually more like random song that Mo was singing today...Mo aka Maureen is the sanity in our office, she keeps us all laughing and can lift your mood with one random outburst of song. When I first started it was "Tonight's goin' be a good night" by Black Eyed Peas, then Christmas music in July, the old Methodist hymns...today it was "Zippity Doo Dah" and all I could think was watching the video of this song on the black and white TV and the top load VCR while driving to New York in the blue and gold conversion van with the family plus Grandmomma and Granddaddy...so to here is the video for a step back in time...

Vet...Part 452
Yep - Tucker really wanted us to make our monthly donation to the vet, so off we went this afternoon. Without many details, we have been fighting a nasty ear infection for a while. We thought it was ear mites - it wasn't - we thought it was a yeast infection - treated it at home for a while and it got better. We thought it was on the mend - wrong, he scratched it, made it bleed, and made it so we couldn't use our home treatment of vinegar and water. So off to the vet. It is a yeast infection requiring ear cream...he also has some sort of allergy that is causing itching between his toes which in turn results in him biting it raw...so he has some oral meds too. Gotta love that our dog wants to keep his vet in practice.
Week, Weekend, Life recap...
Andrew and I were lucky enough to have Natalie and Jason stay with us from Tuesday until Saturday morning. They recently moved from Jackson to Oxford, AL where Natalie will be setting up practice. She had board review here at UMMC so they stayed with us! We loved spending time with them and having them around Jackson for just a few more days- we kinda, sorta like to think they didn't move.
Then, I had a girls night on Saturday night with a great friend, Anna and her sister, Sara, while our significant others were working or out of town. It was wonderful...we sat in our pjs (well I had on jeans, but close enough), ate mushroom/veggie quesadillas and drank sangria from Kroger. It was just wonderful - I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to sit around and talk about anything and everything.
After getting several inches of rain (without much thunder and lightning) on Saturday - it rained from basically noon until 8ish, we had the chance for more rain on Sunday. But leave it to Andrew and I to tee off at 3:30 with the storms brewing, and yes, we were walking. It was about hole 2 when I started to notice how dark the clouds to our northwest were. Then on hole 3 I got nervous and pulled out my phone to check the radar. Hole 4 I was ready to go but Andrew said let's try to ride it out since it wasn't raining yet and the thunder was very distance...by mid-way through hole 5 we picked up our tee shots and started walking quickly toward the club house...halfway back - lightning struck seriously close, the club house sounded the horn and I started a low-jog, which was the best I could do with clubs on my back. We managed to stay ahead of the storm by inches, seconds, etc...it wasn't fun...I was about to drop my clubs and start sprinting.
Then after getting home and waiting an hour or so, the very slow moving storm hit our house...this was also about the time we both wanted something for dinner. We decided that we wanted "something bad" so we picked five guys, but I didn't want to get out of my pjs and neither of us wanted to leave Tucker - so for some strange reason, Tucker and I decided that we would ride with Andrew to pick up dinner. Let's just say that every five minutes there was a bolt of lightning that made me say, "This is one hot storm." Tucker and I were not staying home alone if we could avoid it. So yes, we are crazy and have a spoiled dog...what can we say?

Batteries are Dead
Life at John... post from MB on Facebook this morning...
The kiddo has a cold. First thing out of his mouth this morning was, "my nose not working". Followed by, "the batteries are dead".

At this moment three years ago, this is what was happening...
The pictures are for y'all, I remember the exact look on Andrew's face and the exact way Dad and I made our way down the aisle. I am fairly certain that Dad and Andrew were both about to cry and I couldn't stop smiling!

Wedding Invitation
Andrew and I got invited to the wedding of one of his coworkers. She is Indian and while she has "Americanized" her folks are still very traditional...so they are having a traditional Indian wedding, which should be an awesome experience that we are excited about attending. However, if you got this invitation in the mail, how could you not be excited?
Seriously this is one of the most ornate, beautiful, detailed invitation I have ever gotten!
Just Life with Tucker - Ice, Sunroof, Chicken Minis
Tucker gets a hunk of ice in his water bowl each morning; however, rather than allowing it to remain in his water bowl and melt so that his water stays semi-cool for most of the day, he fishes it out and does this....
Next up, Tucker and I took a trip to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast this morning. We are trying our best to get this skinny kid to put on some weight so we are providing him with special treats after he eats his meal. Today it was his own box of chicken minis - and yes he loves them...
On the way to "Chicken Filet" according to John
Tucker is allowed to stand on the center armrest with his front paws, back seat with back legs and head out the sunroof when we are either in a drive through or going very slowly with someone else in the car to make sure he doesn't get a wild hair and try to chase a bird or something...He said the view and air is much better up here...And finally - here is how he eats a chicken mini - now please understand that our dog is not normal...normal dogs would not take the time to lick/suck the roll off the nugget, then eat the roll, then eat the nugget in two bites....normal dogs would suck the roll/nugget combo down whole with out blinking...but not special man, Tucker...and yes, I cleaned the floor after he finished...

Happy Birthday Andrew!
Happy Birthday, Sweets - Drewfus - Andrew! (along with Bethany, Happy Birthday soon to be neighbor!)
So in keeping with Ouzts tradition - it is his day - so we do whatever he wants to do. Therefore, we celebrated Andrew's birthday with a round a golf, lunch at Penn's, then dinner at Parker House including white chocolate cranberry bread pudding!
Then after dinner this happened - please understand that this only happens with Andrew and I am fairly certain it is half because Andrew encourages it...if you want to see the whole series of pictures, go here.

Brooks Brothers, Part 2
I have shared my love for Brooks Brothers previously so you must all know how wonderfully exciting it is to learn that their first Mississippi store will be located in Ridgeline!!! Yes, I just saw money go flittering out of our bank account, but oh how I love Brooks Brothers.
MB - chalk up another reason to come shopping in Jackson. And yes, I realize that you could shop for that navy suit you said you need at the downtown Atlanta Brooks Brothers while at the office, but now you can come up here to find one too!
Here let me show you why I love it so much...(note these are all workish clothes...)
And then they go and do this...
Seriously - and don't get me started on the men's clothes...

Fireworks
Two things - Tucker hates fireworks...and our neighbors love them. This is going to be a long, loud night...there is a foghorn sounding bark rattling our house. Would it be mean of me to hope for rain so they will stop?
Happy 4th of July!
Tucker and I ventured to MB's for the long weekend along with Mom and Dad. Unfortunately, Andrew was working nights this weekend so he couldn't make the trip. We did all the standard 4th of July activities...BBQ, Fireworks, Beach, Swimming Pool, Shrimp Tour, etc. Here are a few pictures from the weekend...
(Yes that is flour just above his right eye and on his nose...and yes he is wearing CC's hat.)
