While cooking dinner last night, I could not locate the block of Parm that I knew I had bought at Kroger on my way home. I looked in the trash, in the stash of Kroger bags, in the veggie bin, in my car...everywhere...it was not to be found or I thought. WRONG.
I bought a few snack/lunch things to take to work, so I emptied the bag of goods to stay at home, and dropped the bag in my work bag. Guess what I just found...at work...nearly 24 hours later...
Yep, that sums up my mental processing this week.
Enjoy the laugh!

Cooking Club
Non-cooking club first - I just love this picture. Tucker wanted everyone to know that he is super tall...
Click any of the pictures for a larger view. Of course, source for all recipes is Square Table.
Cooking club - sorry, I have been behind on these. We switched to a new cookbook, and so far, it has been great.
Here are a few of my favorites from the last few months. There are more, I just didn't take a picture of them this morning.Click any of the pictures for a larger view. Of course, source for all recipes is Square Table.

Nothing Like a Hug
While it was a super short stay for them, I got all I needed...a hug...from Mom and Dad. Sadly, their trip lasted a mere 2 hours. As soon as they got here (and after playing with Tucker for a few minutes and taking the front door off the hinges to begin staining), we got a call that a very dear friend had suddenly, and completely unexpectedly, passed away. I am just so glad I was able to hug them. After getting the door back on the hinges, I packed them up and sent them back home. Hug your folks and tell them you love them, please.

Bop's Dog Treats
First I should admit that we went to Bop's last night. They had a special yesterday - Buy One, Get One Free Sundaes, and I had a rough day, so we went.
Andrew had sprayed the back yard and put out fertilizer yesterday afternoon, so we opted to take Tucker with us. We don't typically take him to Bop's because it is a quick trip (and we don't like to share our ice cream). Well...that has all changed now...Bop's loves dogs. They don't just give out dog biscuits, they give out those big milkbones (think Tucker sized milkbone) and serve it in a bowl of custard. Yep, you read that right - dog bone in custard! Tucker pulled the bone out of the custard and while licking it discovered the custard. He instantly went back to the bowl and licked every last drop out of it. Then after finally getting the last possible drop of custard, he ate the bone. Surprisingly, he didn't upset his stomach at all. We fully expected a middle of the night wake up call for him to take care of some urgent business, but it didn't happen. So here is the lesson...if you go to Bop's tell them you have a dog with you and they will give you a free dogbone sundae!!

Happy Easter!!
Hope it was a wonderful Easter for all! We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend together.
At this point, I should post a picture of us in our cute Easter outfits - but we didn't take a picture. Shocking, I know! Worse yet - I think I wore the same dress I wore last year. But if I can't remember then it doesn't matter right??? And since there is no picture of last year either, it really doesn't matter, right?
Here was our Easter dinner:
Strawberry Shortcake Cake...PW recipe - extremely good...

Steak, Mac and Cheese, Blackened Green Beans...
Yes - I made a 9x13 of Mac and Cheese just for us, and yes, we will eat it all...

A Dog's Birthday
Tucker is 2 today!!
To celebrate, he was allowed to stay inside this morning and had chicken mini's for breakfast!
Sounds like a special boy, huh? Actually, Andrew was post call so he was on his way to Chick-Fil-A then home when I was leaving for work. Poor dog thinks we are going out of our way to celebrate for him...really, it is just life, except he did get to stay inside alone for 10 minutes, and he got a box of chicken mini's.

Two Birdies
Sorry for those that care and/or know nothing about golf, but I need to brag for a minute. I had what could be described as the round of my life on Sunday. Bottom line - I birdied both par 5's on the front nine to shoot a 42!! I even had a decent putt for eagle on the first one...so yes, I was on the green in 2, rather than the "suggested" three.
That is crazy low for someone like me. In fact, that was the first time I had multiple birdies in a single round. Put it like this - I am usually happy (extremely happy) with a bogey...and a par is just awesome...so birdies are like gold!!!!!!
I didn't finish out the back nine well, but I still ended up tying my lowest score at that course. Next time maybe I will mange to keep my act together and not shoot 9's on both the par 5's on the back nine, whoops!
Quick golf lesson:
Par = what you are supposed to shoot (how many times it takes you to get the ball from the tee to the hole).
Birdie = Par - one
Eagle = Par - two
Bogey= Par + one
Double Bogey = Par + two
