Tico, Tucker, and Russell

Tico is with us for a few weeks...he told me he was thrilled to be here because John nor that new little dog is here.  Tucker knows Tico is boss around here, so they are fine together.  Because no one will believe that he rode in his carrier - I took a picture.  Promise I did not put him in it - he opted to ride in it rather than in my lap.

Tucker loves hanging his head out of the sunroof.  If you spot us going down the road, please don't wreck - I will feel bad.

And Tucker believes that if Tico can sit with me on the sofa, he can sit with Andrew in the chair.

John and Russell, aka the latest addition to the Coke family, and yes, Russell actually likes John.

4 Train Pizza - Slick Shoes

Am I the only one concerned that our house might float away?  It sure seems like we have gotten soaked lately - today included.

I decided to recreate one of our favorite pizzas tonight for dinner - super decision - it was wonderful.  We love the 4 Train pizza from Sal and Mookie's.  It is grilled chicken, bacon, onions, bbq sauce, cilantro, corn (which I didn't have), and cheddar cheese (I used packaged "Mexican" blend)...yummy!

Andrew wanted me to post a picture to make his mom jealous - so here it is - enjoy!

I have to share that Andrew has really branched out when it comes to golf shoes.  He is not going for the most plain, standard shoes - but going to for some slick styles.  I just have to share his custom designs...dude has some style...

Is It Wednesday or Monday?

After struggling to remember why I called someone who was returning my call and having to check my to-do list for the reason, I attempted to explain why I was struggling by saying, "It is early for the Monday morning..."  except it is Wednesday, and he caught that.  Would someone just let me know when it is Friday so I don't show up to work in dress clothes when I could be wearing jeans, please???

Honestly, this is what I would love to be doing right now...

Mom - this is for you.  Last week (maybe Friday, I don't remember.  Shocked right?) I got stuck in Wagon Train traffic on my way home.  Seriously what isn't to love about it?

And finally - ignore the trash on the way out the door and the JABanks bag on its way outside as well - Tucker was begging Andrew to take him to work with him.  He did not want to be left at home.

Buck Up, Kick Back...

BUCK UP, KICK BACK and CHOW DOWN at LONGHORN'S!!!!!

Stop laughing Mom and Dad - I know you are laughing.  If you know me at all, you know I love a good steak.  In terms of "chain steakhouses," Longhorn's has long been my favorite.  Sure I can cook a filet for cheaper at home, but when I want to go to an affordable steakhouse, I want Longhorn's.  Well, until Monday, we haven't had Longhorn's in Jackson.  And I have deeply missed it.  Swear...I really have.  So guess what??  WE ARE GOING TONIGHT!!  I can taste the Flo's filet now...and the sweet potato...and the honey mustard on the salad...yummy!!!!

And if you missed the Longhorn's ads from 2000 - 2002ish - it always ended with - Buck Up, Kick Back, and Chow Down at Longhorn's baby!  And after leaving the ER (for what turned out to be no big deal) and having been told to follow clear liquid diet for a week (just in case it turned out to be a bigger deal), all I wanted was Longhorn's (ignore the fact that I had only been told 20 minutes earlier to stick to clear liquids).  Rather than saying, "Mom, Dad, I really want Longhorn's."  I said, "Let's buck up, kick back, and chow down, please?!?!"  They had no clue what I was talking about and this was 2001 - right when the ad was running.  I didn't get Longhorn's but at least they know what I am talking about now!

Update: Dalton

UPDATE: Dalton went home yesterday and got to meet his sweet cousin, Lyla Gray!  (I am most likely the only person that makes her name a double name, but I just can't help myself.)

No details other than Kara's post on facebook this morning/last night:

"Unfortunately took a step back today. Had to drop in an NG tube for feeding. We are really bummed but his heart is just working way too hard. Very overwhelming day for Mommy and Daddy, met with over 10+ specialists, therapists, and Doctors to prepare us to bring this special boy home. Keep those prayers! We need the strength."

Yoga, Punishment, Dalton Update

Random title, huh?  Welcome to my brain...this is how it works.

Let's start with Dalton - OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!  Dalton is continuing to take bottles and is making an amazing recovery from his heart surgery.  Kara is doing a wonderful job of keeping her blog updated during all this activity, http://devotionstodalton.blogspot.com/.  Wow, wow, wow!  Go get'em Dalton!

Now for the less exciting portion of this post...

Tucker forgets from time to time that he shouldn't nibble to get our attention.  It seems that while he doesn't do this often at our house, he does it all the time at MB's house.  (Keep in mind that Hamilton only jumped on her...sounds like someone is a softy and the dogs know it).  Anyway - this is something that we do not encourage and nibbling results in a meeting of the mind and some jaw holding...
And this goes on for several minutes - because they are both stubborn.  Andrew has his thumbs inside Tucker's mouth and is applying pressure.  Tucker refuses to admit that it may be slightly uncomfortable because, well, he can't let Daddy win this game.  Andrew, on the other hand, continues until Tucker starts to push away...seriously - when will the dog learn that his dad will never give up and will always win???

And much sweeter is Tucker doing yoga...not really sure what position this is formally called, but we are going with the high-dive tuck position...

My Friday Night Date

I had my semi-annual date with the shredder, which involves un-jamming it about every 50th page, last night.  Andrew was working and my other boy was "keeping me company."

Looks like a blast, huh?
