Hunting Pictures

Warning - if you don't like to see dead animals, don't look. Otherwise, here are all the old hunting related pictures I found on the camera.

Woodford Reserve Tour

Just found some pictures from our tour of Woodford Reserve while we were in Lexington, KY during the residency search. While we were there, it never got above 10 degrees...even Andrew said it was cold.

Memories...

In order to get the pictures of John and the cruise off the camera, I had to flip through all these memories. Neither of us will delete pictures from the camera so every picture ever taken is still on it...so here we go...
Bailey and Andrew at the lake -- please note that the dog is on the float waiting for his command to get the ball.

Bailey showing off his ability (and lack of concern) to jump after the ball at a full run.

Andrew and Gary with Bailey and General with beer...enough said...

Andrew tricked Annie to get on the float...unlike Bailey she was not enjoying this...
Engagement!! It has been almost 3 years since this picture was taken!
We did not ask Bailey to sit there - he just did and would not move...

At the top of Whistler Mountain...

After riding 4-wheelers up a mountain in Whistler...

Right after a round of golf at Big Sky outside of Whistler - that is Mt. Curry behind us.

Andrew and Bailey after Bailey's first duck hunting trip - I might add that it was successful!

The frozen pond outside our hotel in Lexington, KY. We were there for a second look for residency. My ride with Mom during our vacation in Blue Ridge in May 2009...And the hill we went down...might I add that it was not fun going down this hill...

Cruise 2010

They finally let Andrew out of the hospital and I ran away from Highway 80 for long enough to celebrate Jonathan Koetter's wedding and take a cruise. We visited Princess Cay, Ocho Rios Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. I admit that I am not very good with 1) remembering to take pictures and 2) actually taking pictures, so we don't have many.

Although Jamaica is beautiful, the beauty disappears as soon as you step off the boat and the pestering begins. Grand Cayman is wonderful. It is beautiful and has awesome shopping. Cozumel is Cozumel and Andrew and I thoroughly enjoyed the all you can drink trip to the beach (so obviously I forgot to take pictures).

Click here for cruise pictures. When I get some of Katherine's pictures I will add them here because I can assure you they are much better than mine.

Better Late than Never...

Here are the pictures from John's visit to our house in early June. There are some of us in the pool, eating bananas, and showing off his toys!

Enjoy!

My Favorites

Here are some of my favorite pictures of John (and I apologize for the stupid captions, but they are just necessary)...

When John is ready to go or go outside, he gets his shoes and tells you to put them on...here he is saying Mom did you say something about going some where - I've got my shoes, I'm ready.

Umm...Potatoes - that is what they make french fries out of right, Mom?

That's right, I'm on a train!
Gone...there is no going, going...it is just gone.
I will use this picture later in his life - thinking senior yearbook, wedding...

No, I did not eat Tico's food!
Someone should tell Chunky that he is going to let all the water out if he keeps leaning over the side like that.
The kid thinks this worm sprinkler is the funniest thing, just look at that face!
Oh, never mind, he was just thinking about drinking the water coming out of it...that was his "I'm about to do something that I'm not sure if I am allowed to do or not, but I am going to do it and it is going to funny until I get in trouble" look.
Kid loves him some cousin Kellie...y'all he doesn't get that he is only 22 years younger and that you can't marry your 2nd cousin - even in Mississippi! Oh and they share chipmunk cheeks - no joke Kellie was known to store food in her cheeks as a kid...John is following in her foot steps.
Heck yeah - we are going on a trip - where are we going??
Never mind - he knew he had to have sunscreen to go outside...
Cake or fire? Cake or fire? Fire or Cake? Fire of Cake?
Who is having more fun...Tico or John? Looks like both are enjoying it. Maybe this will keep Tico from biting your socks or pant leg for a game of tug-of-war.

More Pictures of Bean-o!

Sister finally remembered that people want to see pictures of her roly-poly son - and posted more pictures for us. Enjoy!

John-man Pictures

Here is a link to some pictures that Hugh's sister, Rebecca, took over Memorial Day while they were visiting in MB and Hugh. You can see all of John's emotions in these - that boy doesn't hide anything from you!

Three Weekends of Company

We have been very busy lately with company, but have thoroughly enjoyed each visit.

First was Gary and Lindley over Memorial Day weekend. The boys played golf while the girls shopped - the whole weekend - it was great. We also ate well, which is just assumed out here.

The boys doing what they do best - rocking chairs, beer, and George Strait on the iPod...they are happy.
After eating at Cock of the Walk - it was time for some pjs
Alluvian Hotel Lobby - This is in Greenwood, MS (in the Delta) - aka the Viking Hotel
Next up was a visit from John and Tico. Andrew and I had a blast with both boys and let them get away with all kinds of badness. I will post pictures later. For the record - do not let John near water without having a tight grip on that kid - he is going head first into the deep end. No, this didn't happen but I will tell you that he had those short little legs going as fast as they go to jump in the pool. He loves water!
Finally, Steven paid us a visit. Again, the weekend was filled with golf with a little beer and baseball thrown in. We all three played golf on Saturday morning (and I gave myself a farmers tan with improper use of sunscreen - shocked right?). Saturday afternoon was nap time, then off to the Mississippi Braves game. Sunday the boys played golf again while I attempted to correct my farmers tan. He left us shortly after lunch on Sunday - too quick of a trip- but we thoroughly enjoy having him out here!

Brush Guard, Lift Kit, and Mud Tires...

You would expect to find a brush guard, lift kit, and 4x4 on any pick-up truck in the South right?

Well what about on a bus?

Yeah you heard me...a bus...yep like a school bus. It is painted white instead of yellow - but still it has a brush guard, lift kit, and mud tires. I can't explain it other than to say I had witnesses the first time it was spotted. The second time I was alone. I am trying to get a picture of it and will post it as soon as I can - but really this is special.

Give Mom a barn...

and she will ask for a horse.

Actually it was more like if Dad gets a barn and Mom gets a horse, but we are going with the give a mouse a cookie alright so just hang on.

Give Mom a horse, and she will ask for a new brush and pick.

Give her a brush and a pick, she will ask for feed and hay.

Give her feed and hay, she will ask for a stable (it was part of the original barn plan, then deleted, then added back).

Give Mom a stable, and she will ask for a new bridle and bit.

Give her a new bridle and bit, and she will ask for a new saddle pad and belly band.

Giver her a new saddle pad and belly band, she will ask for a new saddle (she is using our youth saddle).

Give her a new saddle, she will ride for an hour around the house, but will want to go ride with a friend at Hard Labor Creek.

Give her a friend to ride with, and she will want a trailer of her own (so she can ride in Bostwick).

Give her a trailer of her, and forget Dad, she will want a second horse so the girls can ride with her when they come home.

But really - all you needed to give her was a horse and that woman is as happy as she has been in years.
