Not Smart, Part 2

Tucker managed to open his pen earlier this week and when Andrew got home this is what he found...

All of the clothes were bagged up waiting for me to take them to Goodwill - and other than pulling the clothes throughout the house - he really didn't mess up anything of any importance...at least he was smart about that...

The Year of Bedding and Decorations

I had a wonderful Christmas full of new bedding and decorations.  Since the givers have asked that now that I finally got all my new stuff to the house that I post pictures..so here we go.

Master - coverlet is burlap, brown pillows are linen, if you are interested in textures.

A new Rooster for the Kitchen!
The Guest Room with Piano - This the bedding that has been in the master, just folded in half to fit the daybed.

 The Main Guest Room...

Now this is where I need some help - I need something to replace the "Bay-dog" picture...
Thinking about putting these above the bed...
Like this...the one on the left is bigger than the one of the right...I could get them to stay up to show you so you will just have to take my word that they do cover the majority of the space.
This is right as you walk into the guest room with the red flowers...thinking of replacing the duck picture with the vertical mirror...i would use the mirror in a horizontal place but it only has welded holders for vertical...
Set of prints for the other guest room...this is what they look like on the bedding...
and now them temporarily on the wall...and yes i know the corner protectors should come off and I have them on existing nails - i know these aren't centered, etc...

Thanks to everybody for all of the wonderful gifts - we are thrilled with all of them and they look great in the house!  Now just help me figure out the pictures and such....

Happy Birthday Sister!

Here's to Sister -

Thanks for "helping" me down the steps each year at Christmas...
Thanks for allowing me to flush your favorite Heman PJs down the potty...(and not killing me)
Thanks for always letting me be Ken so Heman could kill me and date Barbie...
Thanks for letting me pal around with your friends...
Thanks for telling me my entire life that I am either a) from the Zoo or b) from Mars...and for teaching your son the same thing...
Thanks for telling me not to eat the moth ball...(guess I was good practice for John)...
Thanks for helping me get the "good stuff" out the cabinet to put on our ice cream when Dad wasn't around...
Thanks for years of hand-me-downs...they are still my favorite...got any for me?
Thanks for eating week old rum cake then "doing the Elvis"...
Thanks for making me proud to be "Mary Beth's sister" and for not getting mad the first time you were "Gray's sister"
but most of all - thanks for letting me call you Sister my entire life and for being my sister.

Oh and if you don't mind, how about finish up having kids in the next couple of years so I can get all your hand-me-down baby stuff and not have to buy any of it...deal - okay, sweet!

Happy 30th Birthday, Sister!  I love you!

Need Ice?

Things are looking up here now - not too much ice and we have kept power.  We did drop our HD TV feed about 6:30 but our standard def is still coming in.

At 4pm this is what we saw...note, I couldn't figure out how to show the exposure of the camera to show the massive snow flakes, but that is what the little spots are.

 At 9pm

Well, Hello to You Old Man Winter

Folks in Georgia - sounds like y'all are really in for a punch - I hope you are ready.

Next - would someone please explain to me what you plan on doing with the your milk and eggs when the power goes out - okay?  Okay.  Now what can you make with bread, milk and eggs when you don't buy meat?  My guess is french toast and fried egg sandwiches are in store.  Sorry - after my weekly trip to Kroger yesterday I feel it is necessary to point these things out.

Finally - here is our weather as of 10am (CST) - it isn't going to be nearly as exciting here as it will be back home, sorry.

"That Boy Ain't Right..."

This is what Andrew found when he got out of the shower this morning...

One would think he would realize that the more he pulls out of the bed, the less he has to sleep on...or maybe the fact that as long as he continues to destroy his bed, he isn't getting a new one...

But, as we say daily, "That boy ain't right."

A Water Problem

We have a problem and it involves water and our dog.

He has decided that he only likes running water so he know drinks from the tub or hose (once we turn it on for him) rather than his bowl.

But the bigger problem that we knew was going to happen soon enough happened tonight...he figured out tonight that water comes out of the freezer door when you press down the thingy.  He watched me fill a glass of water and figured all of this out.  Just after that crazy dude was caught pressing the thingy with his nose - but he forgot to open his mouth so it went up his nose...give him a couple more days - he will be drinking straight from the freezer door and we are going to have a mess on our hands.
