Confirmation

After a great deal of thought and prayer, I made the decision to be confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Having grown up in the Methodist Church and Andrew in the Episcopal, we knew that some day, one of us would make the decision to join the other's church. Since we got married, we attended the Episcopal Church and I really enjoyed the worship because it is so traditional. And after the move to Jackson, we found St. Andrew's Episcopal and fell in love. Without any further discussion between Andrew and I, I decided I was ready to make the move and be confirmed. So I have been participating in the required class and have really enjoyed meeting other young adults, and most importantly, I have enjoyed learning about the Church. So this Mother's Day, I will officially become Episcopalian. But because I have been confirmed in the Methodist church, I don't have be "re-confirmed" I will simply transfer my letter and receive a blessing from the Bishop.

Congratulations! What wonderful news! I am so happy for you!

Having done something similar last year when converting from the Methodist Church to the Catholic Church following my husband a few years into our marriage, I can honestly say how proud I am of you and that you will be very happy. The classes and stuff will be well worth it.

Wish I could be there to see your Confirmation! I will be sponsoring someone Saturday at our Easter Vigil who is being confirmed into the Catholic Church! Just a few years ago I was in their place! Congrats again!
