Uh...Seriously

I am going to post the text of a news story posted on a local station's webpage.  Now, I am not perfect at grammar or comma usage (JMT - remember 11th grade?  yeah thought so), but y'all, I had to reread each sentence in this story about 5 times to finally figure it out.  And for Mrs. Susan - I swear I am not currently laughing thinking back to your run in with a sink-hole in the "grocery getter" ;)

"JACKSON, MS (WLBT) -
A Jackson family had the scare of their life this morning during the morning commute. The street they were riding on gave way, causing them to fall into a giant sinkhole. What's worse, they had to pay out of their own pockets to get unstuck.
Tony Brassfield had was almost reached his kids school and then bam!
"The street just caved in on us," said Brassfield.   "We had some minor injuries to the car, my kids stuff they were shaken up real good."
A giant sinkhole swallowed up the front end of the Brassfield's Ford Mustang.
Brassfield says, "It scared me a little bit made my kids get out of control a little bit, but they're emotional, everything else is ok."
After city street crews arrived Brassfield hit with another blow, they weren't going to pay for the tow truck to get him out of the hole, claiming they didn't know if they were responsible, because utilities under the street could have caused the sinkhole.
"I think the city of Jackson should be responsible for it they tried to get me to pay the tow fee out of my pocket, I'm not going to do it. I think they should pay for the street for the tow fee and damages done to my vehicle not only that, I go to work everyday, I pay my taxes that's what I pay my money for, for them to fix the streets," said Brassfield.
In the end Brassfield had to pay $75.00 dollars out of his own pocket to pay for the wrecker to free up his ride. No word on how long the city inspection of the street would take to determine who was at fault.
If you believe the city of Jackson may be responsible for damage caused to your property, you can call the Risk Management department to file at claim at..."
